Museum of History and the Future

The Museum of History and the Future will be built in Turku and will open to the public in 2029. The new museum will be built in the Linnanniemi area, close to the port and Turku Castle. Before its opening, it is possible to get a glimpse of the museum's future content in various events, and through online content.

In the Museum of History and the Future, the stories and human destinies of Finland’s oldest city will come to life and increase our understanding of the past and present helping us build a common future.

The museum will combine new ways of storytelling, experimental presentation methods used in science centres, and it will present the contents of history with a touch of new technology.
