WAM is a museum for contemporary art, with a global vision and a local heart. Reopening in October 2026 after a major renovation, WAM combines bold international exhibitions with treasures from Turku’s own collection of 10,000 works.
Housed in a beloved Finnish modernist landmark from 1967, the renewed museum will feature a lively café, shop, and cultural events, alongside the experimental WAMx studio, where art, ideas, and communities meet. The opening exhibition will showcase visually striking works by Canadian artist Sabrina Ratté.
