The museum Ett Hem
The museum Ett Hem (in English A home) is a home museum donated to the Åbo Akademi University Foundation by consul Alfred Jacobsson and his wife Hélène. The museum presents the interior of a turn of the century bourgeois home.
About the exhibition
In 1932, the museum was opened to the public on Hämeenkatu in Turku, the original location of the Jacobsson home. Since 1965 the museum is located in the current building on Piispankatu. The museum has collections of art and artefacts as well as antiques inherited and purchased by Jacobsson couple.
